Custom Metal Identification Tag Blanks

Blank metal tags and nameplate profiles for equipment, valves and tools. Cutting defines the outline and fixing holes; the surface and any later engraving, etching or printing are specified separately.

Metal Identification Tag Blanks: dimensions and quotation parameters.

The dimensions below help us review metal identification tag blanks. State units and critical tolerances on the original drawing. The illustration explains the type of geometry; it does not define a standard size.

Quotation parameters for Metal Identification Tag Blanks
Outside profileDimension the tag outline, corner radii and any notches for attachment.
Attachment holesProvide hole diameter, edge distance and position, including the intended fixing method.
Material and thicknessState grade, thickness and any stiffness or handling requirements.
Marking surfaceIdentify the marking face, required surface condition, protective film and whether the tags are supplied blank.
Material & quantityGive the exact metal grade, standard, temper or condition, quantity per revision and planned repeat orders.
Units & tolerancesUse mm or inches consistently. Mark the dimensions that control fit and the inspection datum.
Metal Identification Tag Blanks qualitative geometry and dimension reference
Metal Identification Tag Blanks · qualitative geometry reference. Not to scale, not a production drawing.

Thickness range, minimum features, tolerances, finish availability and delivery date are reviewed for your actual part. No catalog dimension or blanket machining tolerance is implied.

What we review
before cutting.

Cut contours, hole function and the way the plate meets its mating parts.

Blank or marked supply

List engraving, serial numbers, etching or printing as separate operations. The marking method and capability are confirmed during quotation.

Identification and packing

Provide the part-number schedule and packing groups for different shapes, sizes or revisions.

Material and finish
belong in the drawing.

Grade, environment and visible-face requirements are separate specification choices. Include them before quotation so the material and process route can be reviewed together.

Specify the grade

Stainless steel, aluminium, brass and other agreed grades can be reviewed as tag materials. State the environment and intended marking process before selecting the surface condition.

Compare material families and grades. Sourcing, product form and the processing route are confirmed for your drawing.

Define the finished surface

Specify the delivered surface condition and identify any coating, grinding, plating or masking requirements. Mark roughness and the faces or edges that need protection so the complete route can be reviewed.

Specify edge deburring, protective-film handling and packing if they affect the delivered part. Read the finish terminology guide.

Material options are reviewed against your drawing, grade, thickness and finishing needs. Stainless steel remains our core focus; sourcing and the manufacturing route are confirmed during quotation.

Inspect the features
that matter to your assembly.

Check outline, hole position and corner geometry. Inspect the identified marking face and protective handling against the approved requirements.

Provide the inspection datum, critical dimensions and any requested records with the inquiry. A model preview supports communication; the approved engineering drawing remains the manufacturing reference.

Quality & material requirements

Metal Identification Tag Blanks:
common questions.

Can these be supplied without text?

Yes. Specify blank tags, the finished surface and the marking process you intend to use afterward.

Can I include serial numbers?

Send the content schedule and required marking method for review. Marking is quoted separately from cutting the blank.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send your metal identification tag blanks drawing, grade, thickness or tube section, quantity, finish and critical dimensions. A clear PDF or image is accepted for review; a DXF supports flat cutting contours.

Can I request prototypes and production batches?

Include prototype quantity and expected repeat quantity in the inquiry. Batch size, process route and lead time are confirmed after the drawing and specification review.

Send your metal identification tag blanks drawing.

Send the file and procurement requirements. No customer account is needed.
