Flat Busbars: dimensions and quotation parameters.

The dimensions below help us review flat busbars. State units and critical tolerances on the original drawing. The illustration explains the type of geometry; it does not define a standard size.

Quotation parameters for Flat Busbars
Alloy and sectionSpecify copper or aluminium alloy, condition, width and thickness from the approved electrical design.
Contact-hole patternProvide hole sizes and positions from datums, contact-pad dimensions and edge distances.
Contact-face conditionState flatness, roughness and any machined contact requirements.
Finish and insulationSpecify plating, masked areas, insulation requirements and quantity per drawing revision.
Material & quantityGive the exact metal grade, standard, temper or condition, quantity per revision and planned repeat orders.
Units & tolerancesUse mm or inches consistently. Mark the dimensions that control fit and the inspection datum.
Flat Busbars qualitative geometry and dimension reference
Flat Busbars · qualitative geometry reference. Not to scale, not a production drawing.

Thickness range, minimum features, tolerances, finish availability and delivery date are reviewed for your actual part. No catalog dimension or blanket machining tolerance is implied.

What we review
before cutting.

Cut contours, hole function and the way the plate meets its mating parts.

Process selection

Laser cutting, another cutting method and secondary machining are reviewed for the specified material and thickness. No blanket copper or aluminium cutting range is assumed.

Electrical design

Current rating, temperature rise, joint design and system compliance remain part of the approved electrical specification. A geometry preview does not establish them.

Material and finish
belong in the drawing.

Grade, environment and visible-face requirements are separate specification choices. Include them before quotation so the material and process route can be reviewed together.

Specify the grade

Copper and aluminium are the intended conductive materials for this part family. Specify the exact alloy, condition and conductivity requirements. Stainless steel grade examples on the general material guide are not substitutes for the busbar electrical design.

Compare material families and grades. Sourcing, product form and the processing route are confirmed for your drawing.

Define the finished surface

Specify the delivered surface condition and identify any coating, grinding, plating or masking requirements. Mark roughness and the faces or edges that need protection so the complete route can be reviewed.

Specify edge deburring, protective-film handling and packing if they affect the delivered part. Read the finish terminology guide.

Material options are reviewed against your drawing, grade, thickness and finishing needs. Stainless steel remains our core focus; sourcing and the manufacturing route are confirmed during quotation.

Inspect the features
that matter to your assembly.

Check conductive-section dimensions, contact-hole positions and the specified contact-face condition. Define coating inspection and material documentation where required.

Provide the inspection datum, critical dimensions and any requested records with the inquiry. A model preview supports communication; the approved engineering drawing remains the manufacturing reference.

Quality & material requirements

Flat Busbars:
common questions.

Are copper and aluminium both accepted for inquiry?

Yes. Include alloy, condition, thickness and drawing for feasibility review. The manufacturing route, sourcing and finishing are confirmed before quotation.

Do you determine the rated current?

This is a made-to-drawing inquiry. Provide the approved electrical specification and any required testing; rated current and system certification are not inferred from the cut profile.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send your flat busbars drawing, grade, thickness or tube section, quantity, finish and critical dimensions. A clear PDF or image is accepted for review; a DXF supports flat cutting contours.

Can I request prototypes and production batches?

Include prototype quantity and expected repeat quantity in the inquiry. Batch size, process route and lead time are confirmed after the drawing and specification review.

Send your flat busbars drawing.

Send the file and procurement requirements. No customer account is needed.
